Your employer may offer employer-sponsored pension plans to help you save for retirement – this can be  in the form of a Group RRSP or another savings plan such as, a defined benefit (DB) pension plan, or a defined contribution (DC) pension plan. Membership in some pension plans can be mandatory or voluntary depending on the terms of your employer’s plan. Your plan administrator or plan provider should be able to provide you with information to understand how your plan works.
