Can I withdraw from my RRSP when on disability?

Our response:

All RRSP withdrawals are subject to tax and must be reported on your income tax return.

Depending on whether the terms of your benefits contain any limitations you may be able to offset your income from different sources. If you are referring to a government support program, such as the Canada Pension Plan (CPP) disability benefit, or the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) or a different provider, contact them for specific questions regarding your coverage.
