Our response:

With the exception of money borrowed from your RRSP to through the Home Buyers’ Plan or the Lifelong Learning Plan, you will be taxed on your RRSP withdrawals. Whether you worked or not does not impact the taxation of RRSP withdrawals. The tax you pay depends on your income and the amount you withdraw. Before the end of the year you turn 71, you must close your RRSP. Learn your options for getting retirement income from your RRSP.
