Our response:
A Registered Retirement Income Fund (RRIF) is an account registered with the federal government that is designed to provide you with steady income in retirement. Like RRSPs you can hold many different investments within a RRIF such as, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, ETFs, GICs etc. All investments, including those held within an RRIF, come with a degree of risk, this previous question may be helpful.
