Can a RESP hold investments?
We can’t provide advice but try to provide general information to help get you started. You may hold many types of investments in your Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) including GICs, stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, and bonds. However, your options will depend on the type of RESP account offered by your provider which in turn may restrict the kinds of investments you can hold. You should also know that some plan providers will make the investment decisions for you.
