I would like to start investing my money. Are there investments I can make starting in the range of $500-1000, rather than $5000?

Our response:

There are many ways you can start investing with smaller amounts. Before you start investing, create an investment plan, ask yourself these investing questions and remember to check registration.

Consider whether investing in mutual funds, GICs or ETFs as a starting point.

If you want to trade stocks you will have to contact investment firms that allow you to open an account and trade in smaller amounts. Make sure you understand the fees associated with these accounts. You will also want to know how to find information about the companies you are interested in investing in.
